On June 17, 2011 the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services issued a memo regarding the reporting of reasonable suspicion of a crime in a long-term care facility.

On July 1, 2011 the Division of Health Service Regulation (NC DHHS) provided a two-page letter explaining how to apply this legal provision in compliance with NC's current reporting systems.
